Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others.

And so it goes. Or so they would have you believe.

This was a common phrase in one of Kurt Vonnegut's novels. It was meant to describe situations wherein things didn't merely go wrong, but went wrong in a manner that one would expect if you expected the worst behavior from human beings, elected officials, or life in general. It is somewhat equivalent to saying, "Oh, well. What did you expect?"

Isn't that what we are seeing today? A man, in an interview with an obscure religious publication, voices his personally held and Constitutionally protected religious belief that a marriage consists of a man and a woman, and he is vilified. The Left stumbles across this vague reference to what he is expected to believe as part of his religion, and his business is attacked, his rights are denied, and ignorant Leftist scum all over the country project their own illogical hatred upon him.

Do our elected representatives do their best to see that the First Amendment right to express your opinion or hold personal religious beliefs is upheld? Hell, no. They attack the man, too. They encourage the hatred and abuse that the gays and lesbians are heaping upon him.

I have said several times on this blog and in open forum that, when the state wishes to destroy you, they first vilify you. They do their best to make you look like a child molester, a "racist", a wife-beater or other form of immoral, criminal individual (although these days a criminal is simply someone the State takes a dislike to, not someone who has actually even violated a prohibited act or omission).

I read on another web site that - supposedly - someone on the Left had discovered Romney's high school report card, and he had not been a perfect student, had some slight deficiencies mentioned. Now, this could very well have been a spoof, I didn't check to see if it was real. Nonetheless, it struck me as something the Left would do, and not even see how hypocritical it was, since Obama has sealed all of his school records. Not only can we not see what kind of student he was (as if that were actually an issue affecting this election), but we cannot even see what nationality of student he was, since it is believed by many that he was an Indonesian citizen as a child, and used that to gain the preferences that accrued to a foreign student when he attended Occidental College.

The Left pretends concern about human rights, yet ignores the wife and daughter killing perpetrated by the muslims, refuses to extend those rights to the protection of religious belief - upon which this country was founded (don't like it? Go found your own country - somewhere else), refuse to allow effective self-defense whenever they are able to do so, and generally refuse to allow divergent political or cultural beliefs - if you are white, Christian, and straight. If you are gay, lesbian, muslim, or a New Black Panther, you can diverge from society, normal human behavior, and even adhering to the laws to which we straight, white followers of Judeo-Christian values are required to adhere.

It is so very easy to get to the point where you are ready to throw up your hands (as well as just throw up) and say, "Oh, well. What can you do?" If we do that we are wrong. We are not only betraying our own principles, we are falling for a scam the Left is running.

The Left uses the media to make us believe things which aren't true. What a shock! Yes, I know most of you already know that, but many of us haven't taken it to its logical extension: the Left would have us believe that the majority of Americans lean to the Left, that there is no way to fight those numbers.

Look to Chick-fil-A to see the truth. The incredible number of ordinary Americans who rallied behind Chick-fil-A to show their support for the owner's right to hold his own religious, personal (not corporate) beliefs was far greater than they Left would have you know. They did their best to cover up how many people supported Chick-fil-A with their feet and their wallets. Thanks to the Internet, to friends and families telling the truth of what they saw, we know better.

So, don't despair. Don't give up. Yes, things are bad and could easily get much worse. Just realize that there actually are far more of us who refuse to accept the Left's illusions and deceptions than you might be led to think by the media - including Fox News, with Shepard Smith's pissy reaction to the whole Chick-fil-A debacle.

(Is Smith a closet gay? Is Obama a closet gay? Newsweek thinks Obama was simply supporting gays, but if he is re-elected, I think he will come out of the closet. Thanks to Frank Davis Marshall, I think Obama has known the taste of pillows for many years now. And there is simply no way for him to "butch up", limp little worm that he is. Just watch him ride a bicycle or throw a ball. Total fag.)

There are more of us out there than the media and the Left (but I repeat myself) want you to believe. Look at the home health care provider, Julie, who has offered to help Kenny at Knuckledraggin' My Life Away care for his ailing father. As much as I have despaired over how many rude and self-centered people there are in the world, there are still selfless, helpful, considerate folks out there - and the III% movement seems to have a big chunk of that number. Just ask Kenny.

Sorry, folks. I was completely ignorant about comment rules. Anyone can post, but I'd prefer a name, even if it is made up. Anonymous posts just seem cheap, if you know what I mean. Also, if you want to argue a point, that's fine. Cheap shots and name calling towards me or another person commenting (ad hominem) is rude and will get you banned. Other than that, I'd love to get some comments.
